Awecode began as a passion for programming, coding, and building things, which eventually turned into a profession. Over time, this passion evolved into a trusted name for organizations seeking innovative software systems.
Our story begins with a journey in software development that started in the 2000s, a time when the internet was booming and the web was transforming how people connected and shared information. Hobby projects, driven by curiosity and creativity, laid the foundation for exploring the possibilities of technologies. Participation in the open source communities further fueled this passion and provided a platform for learning and collaboration.
In 2010, this enthusiasm for technology led to the creation of Nepzilla, a collaborative effort among friends. Nepzilla embarked on various technology projects, serving a range of clients and laying the groundwork for what would later evolve into Awecode.
By 2014, Nepzilla had reached its conclusion as its members pursued different paths. During this time, Dipesh, a member of Nepzilla, made the decision to establish a new company, paving the way for Awecode. This transition marked a fresh start, combining lessons learned from past experiences with a renewed focus on building impactful software solutions. Dipesh brought a strong foundation in web development to Awecode, laying the groundwork for its growth and direction. Within a few months of its inception, Raju joined the team, bringing his expertise and experience in mobile development to lead and shape the company's mobile development front. Awecode inherited Edusanjal and a few other projects from Nepzilla.
Initially, Awecode catered to local clients, working on projects for private companies and government offices in Nepal. The software solutions developed during this phase helped organizations streamline their processes and improve efficiency. As Awecode's reputation grew, the company began serving international clients, further expanding its reach and expertise.
In 2017, Awecode's relationship with Edusanjal transitioned from client-contractor to a deeper partnership as the two became sister companies. Notably, Edusanjal had been served by the same team since its inception in 2010, reflecting a long-standing commitment to quality and collaboration.
In 2019, Awecode's innovative spirit led to the incubation of Thuprai, a platform aimed at transforming the way Nepali readers access books. Through Thuprai, Awecode has transformed the literacy landscape in Nepal, making books accessible to a wider audience in different forms through digital platforms.
In 2022, Awecode launched Awecount, its customizable accounting solution, to general availability, marking another milestone in its journey of innovation and service.
In 2024, to further enhance its global presence, Awecode LLC was registered in the United States. Nitesh, a co-founder of Nepzilla and an old acquaintance of Dipesh and Raju, joined Awecode to lead the US-based operations, bringing his experience and vision to strengthen Awecode's global footprint. This move reinforced the company's commitment to delivering exceptional software solutions to a worldwide audience.
