Privacy Policy

App: Nidra
Effective date: August 4, 2026
Last updated: August 4, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Awecode Solutions Pvt. Ltd. (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information in connection with the Nidra mobile application (the “App”) on Android and iOS.

Nidra is designed to be offline-first. We do not require accounts, and we do not operate a Nidra backend that receives your personal data.

1. Summary

TopicOur practice (current version)
AccountsNone — no sign-up or login
Personal profile dataNot collected
Cloud sync / serversNone for App features
Analytics / crash reportingNot used
Advertising / trackingNot used
On-device preferencesStored locally on your device only
Optional OS permissionNotifications (for media playback controls)

2. Information we process

2.1 Information stored only on your device

The App stores preferences and playback-related settings locally (for example via on-device storage such as SharedPreferences), including:

  • Default sleep timer duration and last timer selection
  • Fade-in / fade-out settings and auto-resume preference
  • Theme preference (light / dark / system)
  • Last played sound identifier and last volume level

This information stays on your device. We do not transmit it to our servers because the App has no feature backend for that purpose.

Uninstalling the App, or clearing the App’s data through your device settings, typically deletes this local data.

2.2 Information we do not collect

We do not collect or request:

  • Name, email address, phone number, or postal address (except if you email us voluntarily)
  • Account credentials
  • Precise or approximate location
  • Contacts, photos, microphone, camera, or health/sleep sensor data
  • Advertising identifiers for targeting
  • Payment or purchase information (the App has no in-app purchases in the current version)

2.3 Permissions

Depending on your platform and OS version, the App may request:

  • Notifications — to show media playback controls and related status (for example sleep timer countdown) while audio plays in the background.
  • Background / foreground audio-related capabilities — so sound can continue with the screen off, consistent with platform media playback rules.

You can deny or revoke notification permission in system settings. Core library browsing may still work; background control UX may be limited.

2.4 Internet access

The App may use network connectivity for limited non-core purposes, such as:

  • Opening this Privacy Policy (or other linked pages) in a browser
  • Loading certain fonts via the Google Fonts service used by the App’s UI toolkit (device IP address and standard request metadata may be processed by Google according to Google’s privacy policy)

Sound files used for playback are bundled with the App and are not streamed from our servers.

3. How we use information

On-device settings are used solely to:

  • Remember your preferences
  • Resume a sensible playback experience
  • Operate the sleep timer and fade behavior

If you contact us by email, we use the content of your message only to respond to your request.

4. Sharing of information

We do not sell your personal information.

We do not share App preference data with advertisers or analytics vendors because we do not collect that data from the App.

Third parties may process limited technical data when you:

  • Visit our website or open linked legal pages
  • Trigger font loading via Google Fonts (see §2.4)
  • Use Apple App Store or Google Play distribution platforms (governed by Apple’s and Google’s own policies)

5. Children’s privacy

Nidra is a general-audience sleep and focus sound app. Parents or caregivers may use ambient sound for infants, but the App is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

If you believe a child has provided personal information to us (for example by emailing us), contact us and we will delete it where applicable.

6. Data retention

  • On-device preferences: retained until you change them, clear App data, or uninstall the App.
  • Email correspondence: retained only as long as needed to handle your request and any related legal obligations.

7. Security

Because preferences remain on your device, protection depends largely on your device security (passcode, OS updates, and physical control of the device). We do not operate a Nidra user-data cloud for the current version.

No method of electronic storage is 100% secure.

8. Your choices and rights

You can:

  • Change or reset preferences inside the App
  • Revoke notification permission in system settings
  • Delete local App data or uninstall the App

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding personal information you have provided to us directly (for example by email), such as access or deletion. To exercise those rights, contact us using the details below.

9. International users

The App may be used worldwide. If you contact us, your message may be processed in Nepal or wherever we or our email provider operate.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the App’s data practices change (for example if we add analytics, accounts, or advertising in a future version). We will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide in-App or store-listing notice.

If we introduce new data collection, we will revise this policy before or when that functionality ships.

12. Store review note

This policy is intended to accurately describe the current App: offline sound library, local settings, no accounts, no analytics, and no ads. If product behavior changes, this document must be updated to match before release.
